Abstract
- A clinical trial, NCT06503328, is investigating the role of specific microRNAs (miRNAs) in cluster headaches (CH). CH is a primary headache disorder with an unclear cause. Recent evidence suggests that miRNAs may play a role in primary headaches. The study aims to analyze the gene expression of specific miRNAs in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) and plasma levels of neuropeptides in subjects with CH and healthy control subjects. The findings may contribute to our understanding of CH's cause and potentially lead to new treatments. The study is currently recruiting participants. [Extracted from the article]
