Abstract

A recent study conducted by researchers at the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, China, explores the risk factors associated with the conversion time to Alzheimer's disease (AD). The study proposes a multivariate functional censored quantile regression model that takes into account multiple functional covariates and provides more robustness and flexibility. The research suggests that this method outperforms existing approaches and highlights the importance of both left and right hippocampal radial distance curves in predicting the conversion time to AD at different quantile levels. This study contributes to our understanding of AD and may have implications for risk assessment and prevention strategies. [Extracted from the article]
