Abstract
- This article discusses a case study on the effective management of heparin-resistant thrombosis using rivaroxaban therapy guided by thromboelastography. The study focuses on a 93-year-old man with anterior pituitary gland hypofunction who developed thrombosis while receiving routine anticoagulant therapy with dalteparin. The patient's condition improved after switching to rivaroxaban, indicating the effectiveness of this novel anti-Xa anticoagulant. The article highlights the importance of conducting timely thromboelastography tests in complex coagulation scenarios and tailoring anticoagulant therapy to individual patients based on the test outcomes.
