Abstract

This section provides summaries of papers on algorithms. The paper "Function Minimization and Linear Search," by K. Fielding discusses a procedure that minimizes a function using the method of Broyden. The parameters of the procedure include iterations, maxiters, and tolerance. In his paper "Binary Ordered Walsh Functions," H. Hübner explains the procedure binwal which computes the binary ordered Walsh function. The paper "Simpson's Rule for Multiple Integration" states that an algorithm can be marginally improved by replacing each integer constant to its equivalent decimal number.
