First record of the spider family Trechaleidae Simon, 1890 (Araneae) from China.

The family Trechaleidae Simon, 1890 is reported for the first time from China, including one new species: Shinobius cona sp. nov. (♂♀). Morphological descriptions, photos and illustrations of the new species are provided. Taxonomic features of species belonging to the genus are briefly discussed. Photos of the female of Shinobius orientalis (Yaginuma, 1967) are also presented to compare it with the new species. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
