Th is paper investigates the complexities associated with the principle of conferral within the European Union (EU) and highlights the diffi culties and challenges related to conferring competences both within the EU and in the relationship between the EU and its member states. Also the paper underscores the need to maintain vigilance and ongoing monitoring of issues related to conferral to ensure the effi cient functioning of the EU in an ever‑evolving context.
