Abstract
- In recent years, Pakistan has faced devastating floods, droughts, and cyclones, highlighting its vulnerability to climate change impacts. This article examines Pakistan's legal, regulatory, and environmental policies in the context of climate justice, considering socio-economic factors. Despite efforts to protect the environment and ensure fairness, challenges persist in implementation and enforcement. Key legislation, such as the Environmental Protection Act of 1997 and the National Climate Change Policy of 2012, aim to mitigate climate risks. However, gaps remain in addressing issues like water management, forestry, and renewable energy. Enhancing community participation and meeting international climate commitments are crucial steps towards sustainable development in Pakistan. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
