Abstract

A clinical trial, NCT06489158, has been launched to explore volatile organic compound (VOC) indicators that can effectively distinguish between benign and malignant breast diseases. The trial aims to compare the accuracy of VOC indicators and ultrasound diagnosis in determining benign and malignant diseases based on pathological gold standards. The trial is observational in nature and will collect exhaled samples from admitted women with breast ultrasound BI-RADS 4 grade. The trial is not yet recruiting and is expected to be completed by July 2025. [Extracted from the article]
