Abstract

A recent study conducted by researchers at Jagiellonian University Medical College in Krakow, Poland, explores the challenges of teaching human anatomy and physiology using traditional methods such as textbooks and lectures. The researchers propose an alternative approach that combines multi-modality data and presents them in a Mixed Reality (MR)-based environment. The study focuses on the relationship between atrial anatomy, electrophysiological characteristics, and P wave morphology on the electrocardiogram (ECG). The research also highlights the educational application of advanced technologies like micro-computed tomography (micro-CT) and non-invasive CineECG imaging for teaching cardiac anatomy and ECG correlations.
