Abstract
- A study conducted by the ECE Department in Andhra Pradesh, India, has revealed a new solution for mosquito control in open-style drainages. The study found that mosquito breeding primarily occurs in drainage systems, leading to the spread of diseases such as yellow fever, dengue fever, and malaria. The researchers developed a smart drainage cleaning system that operates along rails installed on the drainage side walls, conducting daily cleaning routines and applying chemicals to control mosquito populations. The system has been successfully implemented and tested in Andhra Pradesh and proves to be an effective tool for mosquito population control. [Extracted from the article]
