Abstract

A recent study conducted by researchers at Zhengzhou University in China focuses on the detection technology and clinical applications of serum viral products of hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. HBV infection is a global public health concern, particularly affecting people in East Asia and Africa, the Mediterranean region, and Eastern Europe. Currently, there is no cure for HBV infection, and it can lead to chronic hepatitis B, liver cirrhosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma. The study provides an overview of classical and novel methods for detecting HBV serum viral products and discusses their clinical applications, aiming to offer insights into effective treatment for chronic HBV infection.
