Abstract
- Shoppers Stop, a multi-brand fashion and lifestyle department store, is looking to enter India's luxury retail market by opening large-format stores that will also house The Collective, a premium offering from Aditya Birla Group. The stores, set to open in the 2025 financial year, will feature international luxury labels such as Kenzo, Versace, and Polo Ralph Lauren. Shoppers Stop's CEO, Kavindra Mishra, emphasized that premiumization is not just about selling luxury products, but also about catering to customers who are upgrading their shopping experiences. Meanwhile, smartphone maker Oppo expects to maintain double-digit growth in sales of its Reno series devices in India, with plans to make AI features available in entry-level smartphones.
