Abstract

With their artificial autonomous functions, artificial intelligence (AI) artifacts have brought substantial changes to people's lives and become increasingly popular in all walks of life. Following the world of practice, research on the adoption of AI artifacts has grown over the past decade. Given that research on this issue is relatively new and largely fragmented, it is important to conduct a comprehensive review of existing studies and derive meaningful insights through the review. Therefore, this study aims to provide a rich overview of AI artifacts adoption studies over the past decade. A total of 182 published articles were reviewed. These articles were subsequently analyzed according to chronological distribution, geographical distribution, research methods, usage scenarios, research theories, and key influencing factors. More importantly, special factors affecting AI artifacts adoption were identified, and opportunities for future research were discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
