Abstract

The article focuses on early mortality among patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) within the context of randomized controlled trials. It hypothesizes that early deaths, occurring within 3 days of randomization, exhibit distinct baseline characteristics, clinical trajectories, and proteomic profiles compared to late deaths. It highlight potential biomarkers associated with early mortality in ARDS, providing insights for prognosis and therapeutic strategies.
