Abstract

A new report from Gifu University in Japan discusses research on biotechnology and the development of antisense oligonucleotides (ASOs) as potential therapeutic agents for genetic disorders and life-threatening conditions. The researchers synthesized modified oligonucleotides containing new analogs and found that they exhibited improved stability and activity. These analogs also enhanced the serum stability of the modified oligodeoxynucleotides. The study concludes that these analogs have potential as ASO therapeutic candidates. The research has been peer-reviewed and published in ChemistrySelect. [Extracted from the article]
