Abstract
- A recent research study conducted by investigators at the University of Tunis El Manar in Tunisia explores the introduction of home hemodialysis (HHD) as a sustainable dialysis modality in the country. The study utilizes a multi-expert fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) to assess the position of HHD among existing dialysis modalities in Tunisia. The results indicate that HHD modalities are more sustainable and rank well in terms of various criteria, suggesting that the introduction of HHD in Tunisia would be beneficial from both medical and sustainability perspectives. The study demonstrates the practical application of the FAHP results in guiding nephrologists' decision-making processes for dialysis modality selection. [Extracted from the article]
