Sechenov University researchers have conducted a study on targeting EGFR-mediated carcinogenesis, which is the process of cancer development. They studied the antitumor activity of a compound called LHT-17-19 in cell cultures of stomach and breast cancer. The results showed that LHT-17-19 induced cytotoxicity in EGFR-expressing gastric cancer cells and inhibited the growth and proliferation of breast cancer cells.
