Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to investigate the sustainable development that become a significant trend among economists, government bodies, and organizational leaders. Methodology: The research employs the analytical approach that involves a review of existing literature and an exploration of different methodologies for modeling sustainable development and index method that was adopted as the approach to determine sustainable development. The calculation proceeded through several stages in MS Excel. Results: The increasing popularity of this theme is driven by heightened attention to rational natural resource management in the face of continuous population growth, shrinking resource availability for production, increased waste generation, and changes in logistics. These factors necessitate a shift in methods for achieving economic growth. The article analyzes approaches to modeling sustainable development of territories and proposes the author's model that incorporates an innovative subsystem. Research limitations: The study acknowledges potential limitations and discusses the merits and drawbacks of this model. Originality: This article contributes to the discourse on sustainable development and proposes the modeling sustainable development of territories and the author's model that incorporates an innovative subsystem.
