Abstract

Background: Objectives: To study the effect of delayed cord clamping and milking of umbilical cord on Clinicohematological parameters in term infants. Materials and method: The study was conducted in Muzaffarnagar medical college, muzaffarnagar. Total sample size was determined to be 100 patients fulfilling the inclusion criteria. All neonates born via normal vaginal or caesarean section in Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology fulfilling the inclusion criteria were included in this study. A detailed history, complete physical examination & required investigations as per protocol were done for all patients. Results: No significant differences in baseline characteristic and clinical-hemato parameters of both the groups were noticed except high bilirubin and Low APGAR score @ 1 minute in delayed cord clamping Conclusion: Umbilical cord Milking suggested to be as non- inferior to delayed cord clamping in Term Neonates, however further study need to be done.
