Abstract
- Arabica coffee futures have dropped after a recent surge in prices, which reached a two-year high due to concerns about supply shortages. The most-active contract fell by 3% to $2.424 a pound in New York, after rising by as much as 7.7% in the previous session. The increase in prices is attributed to a decrease in production in major robusta coffee growers Vietnam and Indonesia, as well as emerging concerns about a weaker-than-expected harvest in Brazil. The market is currently volatile, and any news can have a significant impact on prices. [Extracted from the article]
