Abstract

The head of France's Medef business lobby, Patrick Martin, has expressed concerns about the economic impact of the program proposed by the left-wing alliance that won the most seats in the recent parliamentary elections. Martin stated that since French President Emmanuel Macron dissolved parliament in June, decision-making on investments and hiring has been delayed, and fundraising in venture capital has been interrupted. He believes that implementing the program of the leftist alliance, known as the New Popular Front, would be detrimental to the French economy. The French National Assembly is currently facing a complex split, leading to efforts to form a coalition government. However, the New Popular Front does not have an outright majority.
