- Climbing is a beneficial sport for runners, offering a full-body workout that builds strength, flexibility, balance, and mental resilience. There are three main disciplines in climbing: bouldering, roped climbing, and speed climbing. Climbing centers offer introductory courses and social events for newcomers. Climbing enhances running performance by improving strength, flexibility, coordination, and mental resilience.
