It highlights the importance of understanding movement and change across various spheres of activity in a multicultural society like Australia. The article focuses on the representation of transnational Australian identity in life writing, particularly in refugee writing, travel writing, and migrant writing. It also explores the value of collective biography and the role of webcomics and graphic novels in exposing the violences of Australia's border spaces. Additionally, the article examines the relationship between language and culture in memoirs by Australian journalists with non-Anglo migrant backgrounds. Finally, it discusses the craft of writing about trauma and the ethical considerations involved in publishing and promoting memoirs.
