Abstract

Oil and Gas Industry is highly hazardous and prone to accidents due to various errors and human factors is one of the major reasons. The paper explores accidents at oil and gas exploration sites in Kuwait due to human factors. HFACS-OGI framework is deployed for the study to understand various Human factors causing the accidents. Twenty accident reports are taken up for study from the year 2012 till 2020. From the analysis, the organizational process, inadequate supervision, Industry standards, and routine violations emerge as major causes based on frequency tables. The research suggests precautions and safety steps that need to be taken to prevent future accidents in Kuwait. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
