Abstract
- Researchers from Laval University in Quebec, Canada have presented findings on arthroscopy, specifically on the treatment of reverse Hill-Sachs lesions (HSLs) in the setting of posterior shoulder instability. The study discusses different techniques for treating these lesions, with larger lesions requiring an anatomic disimpaction procedure called humeroplasty. Traditionally, humeroplasty is performed through an open approach, but the researchers describe a new arthroscopic subdeltoid humeroplasty technique for the reduction and fixation of reverse HSLs in the beach-chair position.
