Abstract

A recent study conducted at the University of Paris explored the role of rehabilitation medicine in improving the quality of life for patients with severe obesity. The study included 124 patients who participated in an 8-week in-hospital program that combined physiotherapy, nutrition, and psychological support. The results showed a significant improvement in the patients' quality of life scores, which were positively correlated with cardio-respiratory function. The researchers concluded that multidisciplinary rehabilitation medicine plays an important role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with obesity. [Extracted from the article]
