Abstract

A study conducted in Jerusalem, Israel, examined the role of nurses' attitudes towards reporting child abuse and neglect. The research found that attitudes towards reporting play a significant role in determining the tendency to report abuse and neglect. The study also highlighted the importance of positive attitudes towards reporting child abuse in mediating the effect of gain-loss thoughts on the tendency to report. The findings suggest that understanding the importance of attitudes and gain-loss thoughts can inform training programs and help health professionals fulfill their reporting obligations.
