Abstract

Researchers at Huazhong University of Science and Technology in Wuhan, China have developed a new method for treating transplant rejection. The researchers created liposome-encapsulated rapamycin (LNP@rapa), which selectively targets lymph nodes and inhibits the maturation of dendritic cells (DCs) within these nodes. This approach has been shown to reduce inflammatory cytokine secretion and significantly prolong graft survival in mouse transplantation models.
