Abstract
- A recent study conducted at the University Hospital of Wuerzburg in Germany examined the relationship between fluvoxamine dose and serum concentrations in children and adolescents with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). The study found a weak positive correlation between daily dose and steady-state trough serum concentrations, with dose variation explaining 16.2% of serum concentration variability. The study also identified higher body mass index (BMI) as a moderator of lower fluvoxamine concentrations. These findings contribute to the understanding of fluvoxamine treatment in youth with OCD and provide a preliminary therapeutic reference range for this population. [Extracted from the article]
