EDF issues debentures for wind expansion in Brazil.

EDF Renewables has issued debentures worth R$440 million ($82m) to fund the expansion of the Serra do Seridó wind complex in Brazil. The debentures have been given a rating of AA+ by Fitch and will mature in April 2042. The Serra do Seridó 2 complex, located in Paraíba, will have an installed capacity of 237.5MW, increasing the complex's total capacity to 480MW. EDF Renewables has also secured a R$330 million loan from Banco do Nordeste to finance the second phase of the project. BTG Pactual acted as the lead coordinator for the issuance.
