Abstract

Swedish energy company Flower has completed the acquisition of the Bredhälla battery energy storage system (BESS) project from OX2. The project, located in the municipality of Uppvidinge, consists of a 42.5MW/42.5MWh lithium-ion battery system, making it the largest of its kind in Sweden. OX2 will continue to manage the project for 10 years, providing technical and commercial support. Flower financed the acquisition with debt from Norion Bank. This is OX2's first sale of a BESS project and follows their divestment of a solar portfolio in Spain earlier this year. [Extracted from the article]
