Abstract

Chinese AI startups are increasingly choosing to relocate to Singapore in order to access global investors and customers, as well as cutting-edge technologies that are restricted in China due to US export controls. Singapore's business-friendly environment and less stringent AI regulations make it an attractive destination for these startups. Additionally, setting up a base in Singapore allows these companies to distance themselves from their Chinese origins, reducing scrutiny from countries that are China's political opponents.
