Abstract

New ePaper displays are being introduced as a replacement for posters and signage in commercial venues. These displays, offered in sizes of 25.3in and 13.3in, have qualities similar to paper, such as a wide viewing angle and visibility in bright environments. The advantage of ePaper displays is that their content can be changed remotely, eliminating the need for printing or manual updates. However, they are not suitable for real-time information updates due to the time it takes to refresh the display. The displays can be powered through mains or battery packs and can be updated via USB or wirelessly. The 25in display costs £1,364 exc VAT, while the 13in display costs £880 exc VAT. Apple has also announced its AI system, Apple Intelligence, which focuses on specific tasks and prioritizes relevant messages and notifications for users. The upgraded Siri will have a wider set of commands and can guide users on accessing different Mac functions. Apple emphasizes privacy by creating a "Private Cloud Compute" for each user, ensuring that even Apple cannot access the data sent to the cloud for processing. However, Apple's AI effort may not be as sophisticated as third-party offerings, and users may face regular permissions pop-ups when using third-party AI services. [Extracted from the article]
