Abstract
- In this paper, we deduce and analyze the relationship between the back working distance and the design difficulty of the telecentric and reverse‐telephoto system in detail, and propose an innovative design idea for the LCoS projection system to solve this limitation. By employing optical path multiplexing in the imaging and illumination systems, the back working distance is reduced, leading to improved imaging performance and reduced system volume. Furthermore, a novel illumination system design method utilizing an independent eccentric microlens array is proposed for the new system configuration. This method achieves comparable illuminating quality with fewer elements and a smaller overall size compared to conventional approaches. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
