Abstract
- Researchers at Oita University Faculty of Medicine in Japan have published a report on the successful treatment of hemi-retinal vein occlusion (HRVO) with macular edema (ME) following spinal surgery. The case involved a 63-year-old man who experienced decreased visual acuity in his left eye after spinal surgery. The patient was treated with intravitreal aflibercept injections and retinal photocoagulation, which significantly improved his condition. This is the first reported case of HRVO with ME after spinal surgery successfully treated with these interventions. Further information on this research can be found in the Case Reports in Ophthalmology journal. [Extracted from the article]
