Abstract

A recent report from Oslo University Hospital in Norway discusses the use of retroperitoneal lymph node dissection (RPLND) as a treatment option for low-volume metastatic seminoma in testicular cancer patients. The study included 62 patients from Norway and Sweden who underwent RPLND surgery. The findings showed low complications and relapse rates, suggesting that RPLND could be an alternative to chemotherapy or radiation for selected patients with limited metastatic spread. This research provides valuable insights into the potential benefits of surgery as a treatment option for seminoma patients. [Extracted from the article]
