Abstract

Researchers at Southern Medical University in Guangzhou, China have developed a Continuous Quantitative Scale (CQS) to measure mental fatigue (MF) and attention span in real-time. The CQS uses group-synchronized electroencephalogram (EEG) data to provide an objective evaluation of MF levels. The study found that a lecture duration of 18.9 minutes was most effective, while a duration of 43.1 minutes led to heightened MF levels. These findings have implications for education and mental healthcare. The research has been peer-reviewed and published in Cognitive Neurodynamics. [Extracted from the article]
