Abstract

A recent report from the University of Paris Saclay discusses the use of mathematical modeling and hierarchical inference to determine the minimal dose of IFNa therapy for Myeloproliferative Neoplasms (MPN). MPN are blood cancers that occur after acquiring a driver mutation in a hematopoietic stem cell. The study found that IFNa therapy can induce long-term remission when a sufficient dose is reached, and they determined the minimal dose for individuals in a patient cohort. This research provides valuable insights into optimizing the treatment of MPN and increasing the chances of a cure. [Extracted from the article]
