Abstract

Summer is a popular time for car enthusiasts to showcase their prized vehicles at various events in and around Calgary. The Bearspaw Lions annual Classic Car Show & Shine features vintage vehicles, hot rods, classic cars, and motorcycles, with proceeds supporting the Veterans Association Food Bank. Tunerbash is an all-ages motorsports festival for owners and lovers of "tuners," held at the Airdrie Air Park, featuring a car meet, drag race, and drift expo. The Edward retirement residence organizes a classic car show in South Calgary, doubling as a fundraiser for the Calgary Food Bank. The Italian Supermarket hosts a car show in August as a memorial for Emilio Di Gaeta, a car enthusiast and owner of a '68 Corvette and '97 Ferrari. [Extracted from the article]
