ABB lands contract for grid stability, Spain.

ABB, a Swedish-Swiss technology company, has been chosen by Red Electrica, a subsidiary of Spanish TSO Redeia, to supply synchronous condensers for the electricity grid in the Canary and Balearic Islands. This is part of Red Electrica's Network Development Plan to increase the share of renewables in the Spanish generation mix to 67%.
