Abstract

This article discusses the repeatability and reliability of a new measure called choriocapillaris flow deficit (FD) in optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA). The study found that the measurement of FD using spectral-domain OCTA (SD-OCTA) is reliable and reproducible, with a high level of repeatability. However, the absolute values of FD differ between SD-OCTA and swept-source OCTA (SS-OCTA), possibly due to differences in resolution and segmentation. Overall, SD-OCTA is considered a reliable technique for measuring blood flow deficit in the choriocapillaris. [Extracted from the article]
