Abstract
- The owner of a majority stake in Coronado Global Resources Inc., a Sydney-listed coal producer, has terminated its sale to Czech tycoon Pavel Tykac's Sev.en Global Investments. The Energy & Minerals Group, based in Houston, decided not to proceed with the sale after certain conditions, including approval by Australia's Foreign Investment Review Board, were not met by the deadline. Sev.en had cited expansion opportunities in Coronado's coal portfolio in Australia and the US as reasons for the purchase. Coronado shares have fallen 35% since the sales agreement was made public.
