Abstract

The owners of AirTrunk, an Australian data center operator, are planning to ask lenders to waive a clause in the company's loans that would require it to refinance if the firm is sold. Lenders have the option to stay in the existing agreements if they agree to waive the change-of-control provisions. Credit Agricole, Deutsche Bank, HSBC, and Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group have provided A$7 billion in financing to fill any potential funding gap. AirTrunk's owners, including Macquarie Asset Management and PSP Investments, have initiated a sale process attracting interest from Blackstone, DigitalBridge Group, and Global Infrastructure Partners. The company operates data centers in Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, and Malaysia. [Extracted from the article]
