Abstract

We present here a robotic man-machine system consisting of a bionic hand prosthesis and a force application module which supports the use of tactile feedback to increase the convenience and efficiency of the prosthesis. The structure and operating algorithm of the control system, built using an artificial neural network and providing the prosthesis with controlled movement and force sensation, are also presented.
