Gendered and racialized experiences of Caribbean Latinx women.

This qualitative study explored the racialized experiences among eight self-identified Caribbean Latinas. Narratives derived from semi-structured interviews revealed their lived experiences and the impact, and negotiation of the everyday occurrences of racial microaggressions, invalidation of Latina identity, intragroup colorism, ascription of intelligence, exoticization and skin color privilege.
