Abstract

A preprint abstract from medrxiv.org discusses a novel method for analyzing the causes of breast cancer and autism. The method uses a special algorithm based on math to combine multiple research studies on risk factors and physiology to determine the causes of non-infectious diseases. The method identifies physiological parameter changes beyond a certain threshold and disease causation factors that contribute to the development of the diseases. The study applies this method to breast cancer and autism, finding that breast cancer has four simultaneous causes and autism has two causes for boys and three causes for girls. The method also suggests that recent increases in autism may be due to the removal of defensive mechanisms. The article provides formulas and an analogy to explain the method and encourages other researchers to use it to study non-infectious diseases. [Extracted from the article]
