Abstract
- Researchers at Fukuoka University in Japan conducted a study on the side-to-side variability in the femoral neck anteversion angle (FA) in the Japanese population with osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ONFH). They used three-dimensional computed tomography (CT) to measure the FA and other parameters related to the acetabulum. The study found that the mean side-to-side variability in the FA was 6.7 degrees, with about 20% of patients having a variability of more than 10 degrees. There was a weak negative correlation between the FA and anterior acetabular sector angle, and a very weak positive correlation between the FA and acetabular anteversion angle. This research provides valuable insights into the variability of the FA in Japanese patients with ONFH. [Extracted from the article]
