Abstract

Researchers from the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center have published a report on chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and Richter transformation (RT). CLL is a type of cancer that often does not respond to treatment or relapses, and in some cases, it transforms into a diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) known as Richter transformation. The researchers highlight the importance of understanding the biology of CLL and RT in order to develop effective therapeutic strategies. They discuss the use of mouse models to study the progression and transformation of the disease and how these models can contribute to the development of innovative treatments.
