Abstract
- A recent report from Shandong University in Jinan, People's Republic of China, discusses research on blood coagulation factors. The study focuses on the detection of DNase I, an early predictive molecule for various diseases. The researchers developed a distance-based paper sensor that utilizes an enzymatic cascade reaction mediated by the thrombin aptamer to detect DNase I. The sensor demonstrated good specificity and a detection limit of 2 x 10-2 U/mL. The researchers believe that this simple, fast, and low-cost detection method has great commercial potential.
