Abstract

A bibliometric analysis conducted by researchers at University Hospital Essen examined the use of indocyanine green (ICG) in hepatobiliary surgery from 2008 to 2021. The study aimed to identify the authors, countries/regions, institutions, journals, and hot topics in this field. The analysis found that the number of publications on ICG in hepatobiliary surgery increased over the years, with Japan contributing the largest proportion of publications and Kokudo being the leading publisher. The study also highlighted the hot topics of "preservation" and "resistance" in recent research. Future research in this field may focus on liver preservation and resistance, in addition to hepatectomy, bile duct resection, liver transplantation, and tumors. [Extracted from the article]
